The room was fantastic.
The staff in the bar and restaurant seemed very disorganized.. but nice enough. There was several mistakes made on food orders and then a lot of things that were on the menu yet unavailable as they has had run out.
We stayed at the hotel to visit Stoneleigh Park and The Edible Garden Show. The proximity to the Park was the main reason for booking as we didn't know the area. It was very easy for us to find our way to & from the Park as both the Park and the Hotel were very well signposted.
On Fri 18/03/11, we arrived in the evening as we had travelled down from Manchester after work. We booked in, deposited our bags in the room and went to the Bar area to get something to eat. We waited over an hour for an order of two sandwiches! The kitchen & Bar staff couldn't seem to cope with the food orders and I had to complain before the order was checked upon, this didn't give a good impression and stopped us from eating at the hotel on the second night. At breakfast we found the experience of having to queue to enter the dining area quite annoying, why can't guests seat themselves? The food was excellent though! I would recommend the Hotel for Bed & Breakfast only.
Having been stuck in snow and traffic for the day, the warmth from the fire and beautiful Christmas tree on entry!
Room was good for the money, breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were excellent.
Beautiful location, just five minutes drive from Warwick Castle; the room had the most comfortable beds, was spacious, clean and very stylish - same goes for the bathroom. Friendly staff, great breakfast, lots of public areas. While the hotel screams 5* Luxury, it doesn't carry of the stiff formality that often goes with the classification, just a relaxed, casual, pampered feeling.
At times it gets too crowded but once you're past the lobby, it clears.
I stayed in the Hotel about 8 years ago and thought then that it gave value for money. My recent visit proved it once again. The breakfasts are excellent and I was extremely pleased with the quality of the Bar and restaurant meals. A very relaxing weekend break.
The staff were excellent, the decor very good, a comfortable room and the food was superb.
I liked the spaciousness of the room, the friendliness of the staff and the gardens for walking round and relaxing.
found it peaceful and somewhere to relax even though it was just an overnight stay
I thought the hotel had improved since my last stay and we had a comfortable room and pleasant breakfast.. It is perfectly situated for the Dressage National Championships at Stoneleigh.
The curtain in our bedroom was hanging off its rail. I asked the receptionist on our first day (we stayed for two nights) to get it repaired and she said she would. It was not repaired and made the room look tacky and let the light.
Spacious, clean and well resourced room. Friendly staff, quick check in and good express check out facility.
Bar closing too early after a wedding function.
Chesford Grange is a beautifull hotel that is obviously given a lot of care and attention making it it one of the cleanest and best maintained hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff is extremly friendly and helpfull and looked generally very happy! Food was also excellent, good varied menu cooked to perfection.
Big hotel, cheerful reception staff. Room was fine
Very slow service of coffees and drinks in the bar during the late morning & lunchtime. We were told there was a 45 min. wait for sandwiches at lunchtime, with no apology just "there are 30 orders before you!" in an indignant tone. This is a shame as otherwise the hotel was very nice. Breakfast was good.
We stayed at Chesford Grange to attend a wedding so were out for most of the time however we really enjoyed our stay. Our room was lovely opening onto the garden shame the weather wasnt better. We liked the breakfast even though restaurant very busy. All in all no complaints.
Visiting national Trust Properties - played bowls (near by)
The cleanliness of the bath room and a couple of occasions having to request toilet facility. The re issue of a towel that my Husband accidently had blood on -just folded and placed back on rail
